About

From a young age, imagination and creativity has been my refuge from reality and a doorway to places where nothing is impossible. I’ve explored this in many ways, including: music, theatre, jewellery design, crafts and (my longest enduring) fiction writing.
As a writer and mum living with disabilities, life can be challenging. My favourite way of dealing with tough times is with a sprinkle of glitter, a touch of laughter, and a visit to the fantastical worlds mine and other’s stories bring to life. I’m a daydreamer who deals with the harsh reality of disability and chronic pain with magic and make-belief.
I believe there should be no boundaries to a person’s dreams, imagination and self-belief. I create stories with disabled heroes and protagonists with chronic conditions, who embark on epic adventures. I’d like to help the struggling, invisible and forgotten individuals of our world see themselves within the pages of books and show them that they too are magical and can be heroes.
The writing community has and is an invaluable support to my writing and wellbeing. I am an active member of the SCWBI and Write Mentor communities.
